ABOUT US

My wife and I started our retail store in Arvada Colorado in February 2006.  My wife's name is Cynthia J Martin and my name is Gary G Martin.   I have been breeding, raising, showing and selling hand fed baby parrots for over 25 years.

In 1978 while stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii a friend gave me a white Albino English Budgie Parakeet.  I named her Misty and she taught me how wonderful parrots could be.  She was very friendly with everyone and a terrific talker.  I purchased a bright green male English Budgie for her mate and Duke was a proud husband and father to many babies.

Misty and Duke flew to Michigan along with me to visit my Dad and then back to Hawaii.  When I was transferred to Virginia Beach, Virginia they made the long flight with me.

My next parrots in Virginia included Cockatiels, a Blue & Gold Macaw and a Moluccan Cockatoo.  After leaving the service I moved to Maryland where I had a pair of Goffin Cockatoos Sinbad and Sheba.  From Maryland I moved to central Michigan and purchased Peaches and Samson a pair of Moluccan Cockatoos.  They helped me make it though some rough times and traveled with me to Tennessee and back to Indiana.

While in Fort Wayne, Indiana I opened Exotic Parrot World and my flock of parrots grew with a pair of Sun Conures Tequila and Sparky, a pair of Blue & Gold Macaws Bear and Tina, Sinbad and Sheba the Goffin Cockatoos, Peaches and Samson the Moluccan Cockatoos and my store mascot Skipper a Double Yellow Head Amazon who always had something to say and was friendly with everyone.

I closed my Fort Wayne store in 1996 and worked for Wells Fargo Bank from 1997 though 2005 and then opened the Arvada, Colorado store in February 2006.
